Wiggle Cheeks
Wiggle Cheeks are an eyewear fashion concept that explores making human expression a wearable product. The shape of the lense aims to emulate “happy eyes”, with room at the bottom of the lenses for rising smiling cheeks.
Inspired by flexible glasses that use a titanium nickel alloy, the frame is modelled like a spring. Only rounded bends are used across each piece so the glasses can fold over themselves into the size of just one lens and bounce back when needed for use.
The final prototypes were made from bent aluminium, laser-cut acrylic lenses and SLA 3D printed hinges and legs.
